Why Outdoor Adventure To the Mountains and Beyond
Great mysteries come to life in one of Uganda’s smallest districts, called Kisoro. With only 728 km2 of total land area, the fairly vibrant town borders Rwanda to the south and the Democratic Republic of the Congo to the west.
Mountaineering in Muhabura, Gahinga, and Sabyinyo is an experience of a lifetime, bringing you to the point where Uganda, Rwanda, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo meet.
Gorilla (gorilla beringei) trekking in the famous national parks of Mgahinga Gorilla National Park and Bwindi Impenetrable National Park can essentially be one of those items to cross off your bucket list.
The Lost Tribe of the Forest Batwa Experience.
It has been many years since the Batwa (forest pygmies) were forcefully evicted and excluded from their ancestral forest lands.
Believed to be among the first settlers in the area, the Batwa lived side by side with the Mountain Gorillas, showing great reverence to their ‘great’ ape cousins.
Still rich in indigenous knowledge, music and dance, the forgotten tribe of Batwa wonder through civilization whispering of a day when they will surely return to their ancestral lands, stirring up feelings of hope or fantasy.
